MSB works for a safer society in a changing world with a focus on the development of civil defense. We strengthen Sweden's ability to function in crises and even war. This means that all our employees contribute to preparedness and resilience. From north to south, we spread knowledge and act to protect lives and health, the functionality of society, and fundamental values such as democracy, rule of law, and human rights. On January 1, we will change our name to the Agency for Civil Defense.

Do you want to work in an important knowledge organization tasked with training the future leaders in emergency services?

Your responsibilities and tasks

You will work as a teacher in practical and theoretical aspects within areas such as:

  • Goals and intentions of rescue operations,

Your tasks include preparing, conducting, and following up on lessons and exercises, simulations, and training in the above areas.

With your knowledge and experience, and with the goals of the education in mind, you should be able to support and guide students towards being able to perform in the roles that the training aims for, based on good self-awareness and security.

You will be part of a team and a subject development group where you will develop the teaching within your subject area. Your responsibilities as a teacher may include being course responsible, supervisor, class teacher, and participating in development projects.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Pedagogical education and/or experience as a teacher.
  • Operational experience in command functions within emergency services.
  • Rescue Leader B and/or Incident Commander Course.

As all employees and leaders at MSB, you are expected to work in a task-oriented, development-oriented, dialogue-oriented manner, have good self-awareness, and contribute by being a role model.

About the employment

We offer you a permanent part-time position that begins with a probationary period.

Your workplace will be Sandö, and travel is required in the position.
